The Beast Riddim brought a bright, energetic sound to the 2019 Carnival season. Its tropical rhythms and fast pace made it perfect for dancing and celebration. The beat spread quickly, filling the air on carnival trucks and big stages across the islands. Three artists stood out on this riddim. Mr Killa delivered his song "Beast" with his usual powerful style. Mr Killa is well known for his hit "Run Wid It, " which took him to the finals of the International Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad. Skinny Fabulous added even more energy with "Direct Shot. " Skinny Fabulous is a respected soca artist from St. Vincent, and he won the International Soca Monarch title in 2019 as part of the trio behind "Famalay. " V'ghn brought a smoother touch with his song "Take Time. " V'ghn is known for his strong vocals and songwriting skills, and he has built a steady following in the soca world. The groove of the Beast Riddim was crafted by TROYTON MUSIC, the label led by producer Troyton Rami. Troyton Rami is a Grammy-winning producer, best known for producing Sean Paul's "Gimme the Light. " His work has shaped many Caribbean hits and brought soca and dancehall to a global audience. Looking back, the Beast Riddim was more than just a beat—it was the sound of Carnival in 2019.
