Bakasco Riddim – Naruoto Records

Naruoto Records keeps Bakasco Riddim moving at a lean six-track pace, and the whole thing has the feel of a fresh 2021 Japanese reggae drop rather than a sprawling compilation. Chehon, Takafin, Oneder, Jr. BONG, B-Bass, and Arm Strong all get a turn, with the titles hinting at the mood: “Spicy, ” “Slaps, ” “Fruits, ” “Country Pride, ” “Hot Like a Pepper, ” and “Wake Up. ” It’s a compact set, but the sequencing gives it enough variety to move between sly, upbeat vocals and tougher, more rooted delivery without losing its edge. The producer tag matters here too: this was Naruoto Records’ first release, which gives the riddim a bit of launch-pad energy. Chehon’s “Spicy” and Takafin’s “Slaps” set the tone early, but Arm Strong’s “Wake Up” lands with the sharpest closing push.
