Bad Brit Riddim – Spawneezy

Bad Brit Riddim lands with a dark, hard-nosed dancehall charge, the kind of section built for stern voices and clipped punchlines rather than party-lite sweetness. DJ Spawn, working through Spawneezy Records, framed it as the follow-up to his 2020 Play No Games project, and this one leans into a more menacing edge with a strong UK-rooted backstory behind it. Chronic Law’s “6ix Eagle” feels like the obvious anchor, all cold-eyed menace and sharp talk, while Delomar’s “Buss Head” pushes the tension even further. The raw versions tucked beside the clean cuts give the release a rougher street feel, and Renigad’s “Brave” adds another layer of grit to the lineup. Released in April 2021, it marks Spawn’s second official label project and keeps the focus on that ominous, bass-heavy dancehall pressure.
