Asian Film Riddim – One5 Productions

Back in 2017, when soca was leaning hard into compact, hooky riddims built for quick replay, Asian Film arrived as a tight three-track package from One5 Productions and Lime Records. The groove has that bright, nimble Carnival-season bounce, with enough low-end weight to keep it moving without crowding the vocals. Esco’s “Ting Long Down” opens with the most immediate pull, while FridgeLoose Cannon’s “Stress Free” brings a looser, more carefree swing before Micky Rich closes things out on “Always Rum, ” which feels like the track that seals the mood of the whole project. Released on December 15, 2017, it keeps the focus narrow and the feel lively, with every cut aimed at the dance.
