Ascension Overview

The Carnival 2023 season brought together some of soca’s most exciting talents on the carnival jam riddim. Dwayne John, known for his high-energy performances, delivered the track “Ascension.” Small Kid, who made waves with his earlier collaborations in the Caribbean soca scene, brought his unique style to “The Commander.” Shamak, who has performed at several major Caribbean festivals, added his voice to “All Out.” Deno Outta Range, a familiar figure at regional events, contributed with “Turbulence.” The entire project was produced by Impulse Production, a team recognized for their work in Caribbean music and for creating vibrant, danceable riddims. The carnival jam riddim was crafted to capture the atmosphere of Carnival 2023. Impulse Production, who has a reputation for bringing together diverse artists and producing tracks with millions of streams, designed the riddim to be energetic and uplifting. Their previous work has been celebrated for its ability to get people moving at parties and street parades.
