ANOTHER DIMENSION / NANNY GOAT STYLE RIDDIM produced by PENTHOUSE RECORDS 1992

In 1992, reggae music was moving forward, but it still held on to its roots. The rocksteady flow, with its smooth rhythms and steady beat, was alive and well. This classic sound echoed the early days of reggae and brought a warm, timeless feeling to new releases. That year, PENTHOUSE RECORDS released the Another Dimension / Nanny Goat Style Riddim. PENTHOUSE RECORDS, led by Donovan Germain, was already known for producing top reggae hits since the late 1980s. The label helped launch the careers of many famous artists and became a key name in Jamaican music. On this riddim, Buju Banton delivered "Woman No Fret. " Buju Banton was already gaining fame, and soon after, he would release his hit album "Til Shiloh" in 1995. Culture Knocks added "Respect To Shabba, " giving a nod to the dancehall legend Shabba Ranks. Dean Fraser, a respected saxophonist who played on many reggae classics, brought his instrumental touch to "Nanny Shank. " Other artists also stood out. Garnet Silk, known for his soulful voice and hits like "Hello Mama Africa, " sang "Looking Good. " General Degree, who later found success with songs like "Traffic Blocking, " performed "Brinks. " Mad Cobra offered "Mouth Talk, " while Marcia Griffiths, famous for "Electric Boogie, " sang "Closer To You. " Nana Mclean, Richie Stephens, and Sanchez each added their own style with "Are You Ready For Loving, " "Are You Ready, " and "Born Again. " Looking back, this rocksteady flow from 1992 carried reggae’s message of love and unity, keeping the tradition alive for a new generation.
