Acid Riddim is a true street anthem from Jamaica’s dancehall scene in 1994. This riddim was a favorite at dancehall events and is still remembered for its powerful energy and catchy beats. Some of the biggest names in dancehall came together on Acid Riddim. Beenie Man delivered two strong tracks: “Acid Attack” and “Begging Peace.” At this time, Beenie Man was already making a name for himself and would later become known worldwide, especially for his hit “Who Am I (Sim Simma).” Buccaneer brought his unique style to the riddim with “Hot Like Pepper.” Buccaneer is well known for mixing dancehall with pirate themes and would later score a hit with “Bruk Out.” Captain Kirk joined the line-up with “Unknown,” adding his own flavor to the mix. Chuck Fender, who later became famous for roots reggae songs, gave us “Fight Fi Yu Space.” Frisco Kid, known for his energetic delivery, added “Hot Patty” to the riddim. Each artist brought something special, helping the riddim stand out. The riddim architect behind Acid Riddim made sure each artist’s voice and style fit perfectly.
