From the first bar, 97 St Riddim feels tied to the everyday street talk of dancehall rather than any glossy studio idea, and that local, no-nonsense edge is probably why the four-cut set works so neatly. Iyah Vybz Muzik keeps the production tight and direct, letting Booba Starr’s “Fren Enemy” and Harmonique’s “Unity” do most of the heavy lifting, while Jah Rain’s “False Hope” gives the project a sharper emotional pull and Sasha Funn’s “Treasure” closes it with a lighter touch.
