Produced by SLBV in 2020, 7 Days Riddim is a reggae one-riddim set that brings together 18 artists across a mix of roots-minded voices and French-language cuts. Baltimores opens strongly with Defend Wi Own, while Pasnbesa, Ras David, Ras Zacharri, and Mark Cupidore also help give the project its range. The release came from Sur La Bonne Voix, the SLBV collective led by Jonathan Horowitz and Jules Cogno, who were working on the project for about two years before it arrived during the first pandemic lockdown period. With its international lineup and songs moving between English, French, and patois, the riddim has a broad, community feel rather than a single-lane approach.
