In 2016, the carnival scene was buzzing with excitement as the 4evabayz Riddim made its debut. The journey began in the studio, where producer RHT crafted a sound that honored classic soca while adding a fresh twist for the new generation. RHT, known for his work with Rht Records and his knack for blending Caribbean rhythms, brought together a talented group of artists to bring the riddim to life. Carnival director Marlon “Festman” Richards saw the potential right away. He wanted a soundtrack that would get the crowds moving and make the parade unforgettable. The riddim was soon chosen as the pulse of the year’s biggest festival. The parade set featured standout performances. Beez Stinga delivered “Be Your Lover,” a track that quickly became a crowd favorite. Da Jigga followed with “Hold Mi Own,” showing off his energetic style. Jami Dread’s “Give Thanks” brought a positive message, adding depth to the celebration. Kc Jockey, already known for his hit “Girl You Are,” kept the energy high with “Watch What You Do.” Kurrency King rounded out the set with “Spell On Me,” mixing catchy lyrics with the riddim’s driving beat.
