Bread Back Productions’ Smart Thing Riddim landed in 2020 as a seven-track dancehall set with Sizzla Kalonji at the center, including Vex to Rass and Dem Vex, alongside Anthony B’s Nuh Wife, U T Ras’ Shake U Bam Bam, Dquan’s Dreaming, Mr Murphy’s Kick off U Shoes, and Bread Back’s own title cut. The project keeps a compact lineup, but it still has one of those classic veteran-heavy mixes that gives the riddim real pull. Bread Back was already building a small catalog around this period, and Smart Thing fits neatly into that run with a straightforward, groove-led dancehall feel.
