Nuffa Dat Records kept The Owl Riddim lean and bruising in 2017, with a dark, stalking dancehall pulse that feels made for gunman talk and easy pull-up moments. Clymaxx’s “Funeral” and Doza Medicine’s “Weh Badness Gone To” lean straight into that hard edge, while Maestro Don’s “Get Gyal Easy” and Gold’s “Anyday” open the riddim up a little with more of a party-side swagger. There’s no wasted space here: just five voicings and the instrumental, each one riding the same clipped, ominous swing. It sits right in that mid-2010s dancehall lane where spare production, street-coded lyrics, and a heavy low end did most of the talking.
