By 1985, Jammy’s was already shaping the way dancehall compilations were packaged, and 10 To 1 Superhits Vol. 1 catches that moment with a sharp little run of voices over one tough rhythm. Johnny Osbourne, Junior Delgado, Nitty Gritty, Tonto Irie and Wayne Smith all get a turn, so the record moves between singjay swagger, soulful phrasing and the more mechanical edge that was creeping into the style at the time. Jammy’s Records put this out as a 10-track set, and the sequencing feels deliberate: strong opener, a few deeper cuts, then a clean stretch into the closing trio so the energy never really drops. Pad Anthony’s “In Deh” sits right in the middle and gives the whole side a nice lift.
