Produced by Prince Tony Robinson for TR Groovemaster in 1976, Turning Point is a lean two-track set that pairs Owen Gray’s title cut with a dub version, keeping the focus on a single vocal and its instrumental counterpart. The release sits in the 1960s-to-80s riddim archive and reflects the stripped-back, roots-era approach that was common in mid-’70s Jamaican production. Owen Gray, already well established by then, carries the melody on Turning Point while the dub side leaves the rhythm to do most of the talking.
