    TURBO DRIVE RIDDIM (ZIM-DANCEHALL) – BENNYB & ROCKERS MIX 2015

    A taut, punchy Zim-Dancehall cut carries Turbo Drive Riddim, with sharp drums and a propulsive bounce that leaves plenty of room for the voicings to jab through. Benny B turns up twice here, first on “Running” and again on “Taneta Navo Ava, ” while Rascarl’s “Hurricanes To Di World” and “Wandiita Kuti Ndiite Murder” push the riddim into darker, more charged territory. The set also slips in a clear social note with FB Jackson’s “Stop Child Abuse, ” which sits neatly beside the more swaggering cuts from Al Kartel and J-Stylez. Bennyb and Rockers line the project up as a 2015 release with 21 tracks from 18 artists, keeping the sequencing busy without losing the thread.
