Triumphant Riddim – Dubophonic Records

Triumphant Riddim came out in 2023 on Dubophonic Records, with Mikey Dub pulling together a compact five-track EP that pairs two vocal cuts from Clotilde and Tharara with dub versions and a trumpet-led instrumental from Joby T. The release leans into a live-to-dub feel, mixing roots reggae warmth with spacious effects and instrument-heavy arrangements rather than a big multi-artist showcase. Bye Bye and Been Blessed carry the vocal side, while Triumphant Horns closes things out with Joby T. ’s brass touch. It also marks Mikey Dub’s first EP on the label, and the Cyprus-based imprint has a long-running focus on dub, roots reggae, and soundsystem-oriented productions.
