In 2014, the truck anthem base became a key part of the Carnival soundtrack. This powerful, rhythmic style was designed for big sound systems on music trucks, leading parades through the streets. The beats were loud and infectious, making it easy for crowds to dance and celebrate all day. The Titans Riddim was one of the most popular examples of this sound during Carnival that year. Three of the biggest names in soca music brought their own style to the Titans Riddim. Machel Montano, known for his high-energy performances and long career, delivered “She Coming. ” Montano is a legend in soca, with hits like “Big Truck” and the album “Monk Evolution. ” He has won multiple Road March titles at Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, showing his influence on the genre. Kerwin Du Bois added his song “Spoil Mehself” to the riddim. Du Bois is respected for his songwriting and production skills. He won the Groovy Soca Monarch title in 2014 with “Too Real, ” another sign of his talent and popularity. Destra Garcia completed the trio with “State Of Mind. ” Garcia is famous for her strong vocals and energetic stage presence. She has released many hit songs and is known for her album “Soca or Die. ” The Titans Riddim was produced by Precision Productions, a well-known team in Trinidad and Tobago. Precision Productions has worked with many top soca artists and is recognized for shaping the modern sound of soca music.
