Back in 2018, when roots revivals were still carrying a lot of weight in the digital reggae circuit, Greezly’s Time and Tide Riddim landed with a tidy set of voices and a warm, steady pulse. Skarra Mucci’s “They Don’t Know” is the immediate ear-catcher, riding the groove with his usual sharp delivery, while Ras Penco’s “This Time Around” leans into a more reflective mood and fits the riddim’s title nicely. The rest of the lineup keeps the message-heavy tone moving, from Asante Amen’s “Flowing” to Greg Roy’s “Mother Nature” and Teacha Dee’s “What A Feeling, ” with Attila and Gamba the Lenk closing things out on the Italian-titled “La Macchina del Tempo. ” Produced by Francesco Salteri under the Greezzly name, it arrived on July 16, 2018 as a nine-track set, including the instrumental version.
