Tapot Riddim – Hypemasters Entertainment

Hypemasters Entertainment kept Tapot Riddim in straight dancehall territory, but the set leans less on big-name star power and more on a tight, local juggling feel, with seven artists spread across six cuts in 2015. Deliveray’s “African Queen, ” Denji’s “House Party, ” and Nevaramo’s title tune do most of the heavy lifting, while Lyrical Addic’s “Badman (Raw)” and Nevz Kartel’s “Bedroom Bully (Raw)” keep the energy rougher at the edges. The production is spare and utilitarian, with a clipped drum pattern, a deep rolling bassline, and just enough space for the vocals to cut through cleanly. It plays like a mid-2010s sound system release: brisk, direct, and built around the kind of stern, waistline-moving pulse that never lingers on a hook longer than it needs to.
