Out of Trinidad’s dancehall lane in spring 2021, So Crash Riddim landed as a compact nine-track set from Twelve 9 Records, Dan Evens and Monk Music, leaning into a fast, car-boot, waistline-and-wine energy that suits its title. Teejay’s “Ride” and Fadda Fox with King Bubba FM on “Spin Class (Ride It)” set the tone early, while Mr Lexx, Pumpa and Flanka keep the pace moving through the middle of the sequence. The project runs at 115 BPM, and the closing instrumental from ZJ Sparks and Dan Evens gives the riddim a clean version straight after the vocal cuts. It was released on 30 April 2021.
