Snow Flow Riddim opens with Ar C Nal’s “Seeking Jah, ” a cut that sets the tone for Foodj Madrigal’s 2016 juggling with a focused roots feel and just enough modern edge to keep it moving. From there it threads through I Raphael’s “Free Up, ” Jah Wave’s “Killing Ma High, ” and Joshua Hales featuring Bingi Ghost on “Bout Time, ” with the voices leaning toward conscious themes, ganja talk, and clean one-drop phrasing rather than big crossover hooks. King Mee’s “Prevention Betta Than Cure” and Mr Diamond’s “Fyah Burn” push the message side a little harder, while Mystah Godeh, Prophecy Iziz, and Wild Life keep the energy grounded in straight reggae expression. Foodj Madrigal closes it out with the instrumental “Snow and Flow Riddim, ” and Ar C Nal’s opener hangs on as the sharpest entry point into the whole set.
