Rise Riddim – Di Next Generation

Produced by Cynthia Hough for Di Next Generation, Rise Riddim came out in 1995 as a compact dancehall set with three tracks and four artists across the lineup. Action Man’s Leggo The Youth Dem, Design’s Soccer Game Wife League, and Fire Lion and Jahmore’s Rise give the riddim a youthful, street-level feel, with the Fire Lion and Jahmore combination adding a strong closing cut. Di Next Generation kept the project lean and focused, and the title itself points to the forward-looking energy that runs through the release.
