Kaggedy Joe Records kept Revelation Riddim moving in a straightforward roots-reggae lane in 2001, with a lean seven-track lineup that leaves the songs to do the talking. Anthony B’s title cut sets the tone with that uplift-and-warning kind of writing he was sharp at in this period, while Junior Kelly’s “Red Eye” brings the steadier conscious edge that made him such a reliable voice on early-2000s rhythms. Black Rat Egg Nog’s “Nutten Nuh Go So” and Terrorist’s “Lef Mi Career” add a tougher streetwise balance, and Major Mackrel and Plucky Ranks keep the pressure on without crowding the record. The version closes it out cleanly, but Anthony B’s “Revelation” is the one that leaves the deepest imprint here.
