Rebel City Riddim – King Siva Production

Rebel City Riddim comes off like a Barcelona-rooted showcase with a sharp, urban edge, and King Siva keeps the set tight across eight cuts. Adala’s “La Dinastia De La Plata” and Paula Bu’s “Money Town” lean into that money-and-street-pressure theme in different ways, while Sr Wilson’s “Ja Fa Temps” and Senyor Oca’s “Energia” give the riddim a more reflective, local flavor in Catalan and Spanish. There’s also a nice curveball in Classy Horns’ “Rebel Horns, ” which adds some brass-led muscle to the run. Released in 2018, it captures that period when Spanish-language reggae and dancehall projects were pushing harder into their own regional identity without losing the classic one-riddim format.
