In 2016, a new dancehall riddim was born in a small Kingston studio. The beat, built from the ground up, mixed classic yard vibes with fresh energy. The studio hand behind the sessions pushed for a sound that balanced raw deejay power with smooth, catchy hooks. This careful direction shaped each track, letting the artists shine in their own style. At the center of this project was producer LEIGHTON GENIUSS | MONEY INA KYLE. Known for his sharp ear and streetwise approach, he had already worked with several rising talents in the dancehall scene. His label, Geniuss Productions, gained a reputation for launching hard-hitting tracks that quickly found their way into local dances and radio playlists. Escobar opened the riddim with "Wine Up, " delivering hardcore deejay lyrics over the driving beat. His performance brought instant energy to the project. Sauce Perrela followed with "Women Nuh Fi, " adding his own rugged flow. Kee Kee Kapone brought a different flavor with "Bend Yuh Back Suh. " His style, blending smooth vocals and dancehall swagger, stood out on the riddim. Jason Brown, known for his work on the local circuit, contributed "Thief A Touch, " showing off his lyrical skills.
