One Way Riddim – Pecklin Production

Pecklin Production keeps moving through the Grenada soca lane with another short-form juggling that lands in the middle of the 2026 carnival run. One Way Riddim is only two cuts deep, but that gives the production room to breathe and lets the groove do the talking. The name still points to Pecklin’s own imprint rather than a bigger outside label, and the release sits alongside the producer’s recent run of tightly packed soca projects.

The rhythm is built for the road: brisk, clean, and punchy, with enough bounce in the drums and bass to carry both wining and chant-style hooks. It has that hard, bright Grenadian edge that works when the DJ wants something direct and easy to wheel, but it still leaves space for the vocals to punch through.

Lednek opens with Cry, a cut that plays to his sharper, more urgent delivery. His presence has long sat in that space between jab, dancehall, and carnival music, so he fits naturally on a riddim that needs attitude as much as melody. Lavaman follows with No Kontrol, and that is the one that feels most likely to travel. The Grenadian artist has built his name on streetwise party records and jab-inflected energy, and his voice gives the riddim the rougher, more commanding tone it needs.

As a project, One Way Riddim is compact, but it is not thin. It works because the production knows exactly what kind of voices it wants, and both artists meet it head-on.
