After posting $125,000.00 bail for illegal possession of a 9mm Beretta and 2kg of cocaine, Mad Cobra is back on the circuit performing like nothing is amiss. Mad Cobra whose government name is Ewart Everton Brown was pulled over in his Black BMW SUV at a traffic stop for speeding a week ago in South Carolina along the I-95 highway. He was arrested by deputies and was detained at Florence County Detention Center and later posted bail.
Known for songs like Flex and Press Trigger, Cobra was performing at Reggae Summer Rewind in Nassau, Bahamas over the weekend. Staying at Breezes Hotel on the island, Mad Cobra invited fans to come to the event where he featured alongside Terror Fabulous, Admiral Bailey, and others.
If convicted, Mad Cobra faces up to 30 years in prison so you could see his last performances as the last hoorah so to speak. You cannot really pass up on money and you need to cherish your last moments as a free man. Am not too sure about the bail conditions, but it seems the South Carolina authorities aren’t too worried about Cobra skipping town.
An unfortunate scenario for Mad Cobra but he gets to continue doing what he loves. The artist will be back in court on the 3rd of October 2023 and we wish him the best. To all his fans, enjoy him while he is free as it may be the last time he ever performs.
