Jada Kingdom Shines with Scrptiid

jada kingdom shines with scrptiid

The expression of whatever she touches turns to gold, fits perfectly with regard to Jada Kingdom’s collaboration with newcomer Scrptiid on, On My Way. Srptiid whose real name is Romario Hanson hails from Spanish Town, Jamaica, recorded and released the original track back in 2020 with Astyle Alive. Unfortunately, the track did not make much traction on the airwaves but once Jada Kingdom added her sultry vocals the track evolved and earned both artists’ entries on the Billboard Charts.

Released on the 25th of February 2023, The track has earned a cap (21) on the Billboard US Afrobeats Song Chart along with a number 3 slot on the Billboard World Digital Singles Chart.

As an African, it is good to hear Caribbean vocals on an Afrobeat-influenced instrumental and witness the growth of the feel-good track on the charts. The Afro-beat just needed to be given a chance and we are now seeing how powerful it actually is. Statistics reflect the dominance the genre is having in the world and one can argue it is growing at a greater speed than the established dancehall sound.

Jada Kingdom has come to the fore in 2023 and as I mentioned earlier it looks like everything she touches turns to gold. Taking nothing away from Scrptiid who is on the come up, Jada’s impact has been telling.

“A true feeling of joy, a moment to measure the work that has been done thus far and another reason to stay motivated. There once was a time I had ten views within ten days on a song, I uploaded on YouTube, so I am thankful and again this only pushes me to journey onto the next milestone as there is much more to do accomplish” said Scrptiid on his milestone.

Have[/embed] a listen to the cut, and let us see how far both artists go this year. Take a seat Shenseea its Jada Kingdom’s time to shine.
