As Afrobeats continues to grow people wonder why it seems to have overtaken dancehall as a genre and one of the reasons I feel is the content of the music videos which accompany the songs. A good example is when you take a look at Davido’s latest official video for Feel.
The audio track was released in March 2023, featuring on his latest album Timeless. Davido recently dropped the visuals which add another dimension to the song. Minus women gyrating all over the place skimpily dressed, as you would see in a dancehall video. The video tells a beautiful African rescue story with great visuals and impressive dance routines. Davido shines throughout the video and it is something you can genuinely watch with the whole family.
