Timeless rhythm, Cali Roots Riddim, released in 2020 and produced by Collie Buddz, has another addition to its illustrious list of stars. Busy Signal is the latest artist to have a go on the riddim with his track A Thousand Times. The riddim made waves back in 2020 with Collie Budz marking his return to music after a hiatus from the music industry. The riddim features other artists including Kabaka Pyramid, Konshens, Iration, Alborosie, J Boog, Anthony B, and many more. Produced by Collie Buddz’s Ineffable Records the riddim continues to stay relevant as artists seem to thrive on the catchy infectious tune.
Not to sound cliché, but, Busy Signal has been busy in the last couple of months with his music. With collaborations and hot singles, the artist is making waves with dancehall and reggae tunes. Delving into reggae, A Thousand Times is an accomplished reggae tune that stacks up against the numerous tracks on the riddim.
Reports suggest Busy Signal and long-time nemesis Aidonia seem to have buried the hatchet as well. The pair had their differences dating way back to the 2000s but the artists are now on talking terms and feature in photographs together. As I said previously in another article, Busy Signal seems to be just getting on with his music and it’s good to hear that the dark cloud with Aidonia is passed.
Unlike Busy Signal, Collie Buddz has been quiet lately. His last track Take It Easy is exactly what the artist is doing this year and we just await news of a new possible single or album. The Bermuda artist seems to just work on producing quality as opposed to quantity so we just have to be patient.
Have a listen to wise words from Busy Signal in A Thousand Times and feel the Cali Roots Riddim once more.
