Metadata Riddim (2016) – Freedom Trail Reggae

Freedom Trail Reggae’s Metadata Riddim feels like a mid-2010s Kingston-yard session with a conscious edge, the kind of one-drop cut that leaves room for the voices to carry the weight. Sizzla’s “Stand Up For Your Rights” and Capleton’s “Going At Dem” are the obvious fires at the center, and Junior X’s “Higher Than The Cloud” adds a smoother lift without losing the rootsy pull. Around them, Eldie Anthony, Chabe, Sasique, Rude Kid, and Ffurious keep the riddim moving through nine tracks, giving the whole thing a compact, no-frills shape that still has enough variety to catch you on a second pass, especially when the bassline settles in.
