Mandrakes Riddim – Back Ah Yard Records

Mandella Linkz sets the tone on Mandrakes Riddim with “Tombstone, ” a sharp soca cut that sits alongside Squeeze Head’s “Rum Lover” and the bare instrumental from Back Ah Yard Records. With only three tracks on the release, the sequencing keeps the focus on the riddim itself: first the vocal versions, then the instrumental to let the pattern breathe on its own. Back Ah Yard Records had already been rolling out instrumental-led riddims by 2018, and here they keep the arrangement lean, with Mandella Linkz and Squeeze Head carrying the lyrical side. Mandrakes Riddim was issued in 2018 and lists three tracks in total.
