Magnet Tempo Riddim – Tragedy Entertainment

Low-slung energy, and Magnet Tempo Riddim moves with that kind of unhurried pull that suits a small but sharp 2013 lineup from Tragedy Entertainment. Sizzla’s “Jah Jah Never Let Me Down” gives the cut its anchor, with Lutah Fyah’s “Enchanting Smile” and Delly Ranx’s “Nuh Test Wi” circling the same rootsy lane without crowding the groove. There’s no wasted space here: just three vocals and the Team Tragedy instrumental, which keeps the rhythm bed front and centre and lets the voices ride cleanly over it. What lingers is the label’s taste for lean arrangement and singer-driven reggae, a compact little set with enough lift to make the title feel earned.
