Losing You Riddim – Various Labels

Coxsone Dodd’s 1969 Losing You riddim comes out of the Studio One camp and circles around one of Studio One’s cleaner late-’60s vocal backings. The best-known cuts here are The Mad Lads’ Losing You, Cedric Brooks’ Tell Her I Love Her, and The Wailing Souls’ later All Alone, with a dub-style take from Bubble Up Style adding another angle to the rhythm.
