LATINA RIDDIM by GUIRIE and AIDENJAH – 2019

Latina Riddim keeps things tight with just four cuts, and that small lineup gives Guirie and Aidenjah room to let each voice land properly instead of crowding the rhythm. Released in April 2019, it sits squarely in modern dancehall but leans into a warmer, more melodic mood than the title might suggest, with Brusco’s “Sudamericana” drawing out the Latin-Caraibbean colour of the project and KBMan ft. Galup, Attila, and Sealow each bringing a different angle. The sequencing feels deliberate: “Highlife” opens the set with a bright, upward feel, “Sudamericana” pushes the concept to the front, and the final two tracks close it out like a neat compact run rather than a loose compilation.
