Kash Riddim – Fryktion Muzik

Fryktion Muzik’s Kash Riddim sits a little differently from the bigger, more obvious soca packages they’d later become associated with, leaning into a tighter, New York-linked production that still carries enough carnival bite to move a dance. Lyrikal’s “Body Low” is the one that really opens the thing up, with his easy swagger riding over a clean, punchy groove, while Spice turns “Time To Get Mad” into the most explosive cut in the set and Problem Child keeps “O M G” in the same restless pocket. Adrian Dutchin and Ronnie Homer fill out the five-track lineup, and the whole project was produced by Fryktion Muzik in 2013, with the rhythm version built around five vocal cuts and no wasted space.
