Impulse Productions keep things lean on Inflicted Riddim, and that’s part of the charm: six cuts, five artists, and a straight-up dancehall pulse that doesn’t waste time getting to the point. Avonni doubles up on “Real” in clean and raw versions, but it’s the raw take that lands with more bite, while “A Soldier’s Cry” from The Messenger leans into the tougher, more reflective side of the riddim. Budzey’s “Pure Love” and Sir Vival’s “Gangster Life” sit neatly in the middle of the pack, giving the project a mix of grit and melody without crowding the space.
