Incense-heavy mood. The 2004 Incense Riddim rides a rootsy reggae groove with a proper UK-lovers-rock sheen in places, and the lineup keeps it moving without ever feeling overcrowded. D2’s “How It Feels” and Don Ricardo’s “Daily Nightmare” set the tone early, while Lloyd Brown’s “Full Hundred” with Tanya leans into smoother vocal territory and Meleka’s cut with Tryumf adds a firmer, more militant edge. There’s a neat spread of voices across the set, from Green Hill All Stars and Jason Jack through to Zion Noiz with Donna Marie, but the tune that lingers is Pac Deep’s “School Holiday, ” which gives the riddim a sharper conversational bite before the closing run.
