Hot Gyal Whine Riddim – Brando Productions

Brando Productions packed Hot Gyal Whine Riddim with a hefty 13-track dancehall line-up, and the first thing you notice is how much of it circles the dancefloor and the female-forward whine-up theme. High Degree doubles up with “Only Yuh” and “Hot Girls, ” while D Feezy’s “Me Love How She Whine” leans straight into the party mood; Bobby Dreadd’s “Uninteresting” and Al Beeno’s “Turn Pan It” keep the energy rolling with that blunt, street-side dancehall edge. There’s a nice bit of variety too, from Junya Be’s more pointed “No Lies” to Natty Bredda’s “Nah Play Wid Hypocrite, ” which gives the set a little more bite than the title might suggest. Released in 2013, it lands in that era when riddim projects were still a key way producers stitched together a whole scene in one shot.
