Back in 2011, when dancehall was leaning hard into sharp digital patterns and quick-hit party tunes, Thompson House Productions put out Hot Climax Riddim with a compact seven-cut lineup that keeps the focus on the groove and the vocal switches. Andi Ites’ “She Loves Me, ” Cregis’ “Bubble Up A Storm, ” and Deja’s “Whine Up” sit alongside the producer tag tune from General (Thompson House), and the whole set moves with a brisk, bouncy pulse that leaves room for each singer’s own style to cut through.
