    Built around the 1966 Hooligan rhythm, this various-artists set pulls material from a long line of Jamaican producers and labels tied to Studio One, Coxsone, Hitbound, Heavy Weight, Joe Gibbs, Volcano, Wall Street, Jasfar, and Jah Ruby. The selection moves from roots-era cuts like The Wailers’ Hooligan and Delroy Wilson-style foundation material into later versions from artists such as Clint Eastwood, Dennis Brown, Frankie Paul, Freddie McGregor, and Glen Washington, with 2 Of A Kind’s Living The Life, Causion’s Know Jah, and Hopeton Lindo’s Real Thing among the key songs.
