Jambalasee Grenada Muzik keeps working the Grenadian carnival lane with Headpiece Riddim, a 2026 soca juggling that sits comfortably in the same cultural space as the label’s recent jab-jab and Spice Mas releases. By now, the imprint has a clear identity: music rooted in Grenadian local flavor, but still built for wide soca rotation, with a taste for heavy bass, marching energy, and that unmistakable jab-jab pulse. Headpiece Riddim continues that run rather than trying to reinvent it.

The set pulls its strength from the artist mix. Temptress is the veteran presence here, and her name still carries weight in Grenada because she has long been one of the island’s most recognizable soca voices. Adrian Lenz brings a different angle, coming out of the Grenadian diaspora and blending soca roots with a broader Caribbean-pop and dancehall sensibility. Lil Jelo and Happy Boy add a younger, more street-facing energy, while Duwan De Entertainer is exactly the sort of performer who can make a road-ready riddim feel like it belongs to the season. Angeleau and Bess on “Rubber Boots” give the project one of its more characterful combinations, and that title alone hints at the kind of playful, costume-season imagery that soca fans know well.

What matters most is the feel: this is not soft groovy radio soca. Headpiece Riddim sounds geared for movement, with a bouncing low end, punchy drum programming, and enough open space for chant-style hooks and crowd response. The instrumental version matters too, because riddim projects like this live or die on how well the base can carry both vocals and DJ play. “Come In Front” and “Speed” sound like the kind of cuts that should travel well in a fete, while “Run The Town” feels positioned for the louder, more competitive end of the season.
