Handle The Ride Overview
Handle The Ride Riddim came out of Jamaica in 1997 and quickly became a favorite for reggae selectors that year. This project brought together some of the most respected voices in reggae and dancehall. Admiral Tibbet’s “Babylon Brutally” stands out for its powerful lyrics and delivery. Anthony B, who is well known for his hit song “Fire Pon Rome,” brings his strong energy to “Stronger.” Josey Whales, a dancehall veteran famous for the classic “Undercover Lover,” adds his unique style to “Bowl Dem.” Junior Tucker, who found chart success with “Love Of A Lifetime,” takes the mic on “Big Chat.” Louie Culture, recognized for his anthem “Gangalee,” brings a roots message with “Foundation Form Birth.” Each artist uses the riddim’s spiritual and melodic base to deliver their message. Other artists on the project include Stechie with “Promises,” Luckie D with “Lonely Is The Night,” Michael Butley with “World Without End,” Morgan Heritage with “Let's Pray To The Lord,” and Nadine Sutherland with “What Does It Take's.” Their songs add even more variety and depth to the collection. The riddim’s arrangement, shaped by a skilled culture arranger, helped keep reggae’s uplifting message strong in 1997. This recording holds a special place for fans, showing how reggae can stay true to its roots while reaching new heights.

IMPORTANT
Promotional riddims or mixtapes are generally meant to increase streaming and sales of a production, directly benefiting the Copyright holder(s) from onset of official release of their material. Promos posted on this website are not necessarily always full. Same principle applies to quality.
Promos add the benefit of increasing exposure of otherwise unknown or new production labels, artists, producers, DJs, and/or those that have a low reach on a global scale.
A 72 hour to 30 day period has shown to positively drive this particular music industry over the last 5+ years of our operations.
When a promo expires, most links are removed from the website within 30 days. Through recent partnerships, streaming and download links for Apple Music and Spotify are always provided when available. Other platforms will be added soon.
