Back in 2010, when dancehall was leaning hard into slick, girl-friendly party riddims, Ballaz Productions came with Gyal Segment and packed it with a strong mix of voices: Alozade, Agent Sasco, Lady Saw, Delly Ranx, Tifa, Voicemail and T. O. K all take a turn on it. The rhythm has that bright, immediate pull of a strip-club-ready dancehall cut, with enough bounce in the low end to keep the verses moving while the hooks stay sharp and playful.
