Roots Alley Collective’s Greater Cause Riddim arrived in 2024 with a short but strong roots set led by MediSun, Jahriffe, Chiney Kiki, and Livalect, plus the closing Greater Cause Dub from the collective itself. The production comes from Boston-based Roots Alley Collective, whose work has long leaned into conscious reggae and tightly arranged foundation-style riddims. When You Call, Champion, Foreign Land, and Seek give the release its main vocal range, while the dub cut rounds it out with a stripped-back finish. With just five tracks, the riddim keeps a focused, rootsy feel and gives each artist room to carry its message cleanly.
