Diamond Rush kept GMC lean and melodic here, not too far from the conscious reggae vibe the label was feeding around 2003 and 2004, but with a lighter, lovers-friendly edge in the vocal cuts. Richie Spice’s “Sarnantha” is the tune that really anchors it, carrying that warm, heartfelt phrasing he was moving with at the time, while Singing Melody’s “Rendez Vous” leans into smoother territory and gives the riddim a softer finish. DYCR and Ghost keep the energy moving on “Everything A Raise” and “Lady, ” so the set never feels one-note, even with only five tracks. It’s a small compilation, but that’s part of the charm: a tidy little Diamond Rush drop from that early-2000s reggae run, when singjay and lovers cuts were sitting comfortably side by side.
