Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic nothing much has changed with regards to music releases from the 6IX crew. Chronic Law, Squash and Daddy 1 have not missed a beat as they continue to churn out fresh music. Daddy 1 is following in the footsteps of his mentors and is becoming just as prolific as his seniors.
Following his (Daddy 1) release of Rich, the youngster has come out and dropped Brand New Arcus. With the young generation in his pocket, the Youtube audio has garnered 30k views just 10 hours from its release. The track features on One Law Riddim which is a One Law Entertainment production.
The riddim also features 6IX Boss Squash who is enjoying similar success on the riddim. The track, Dem Afraid Of Me, has garnered 16k views in just 4 hours from its release on Youtube’s streaming platform. Competition breeds quality music and dancehall is benefiting a lot from the 6IX crew. Their grip on the genre has loosened a bit in the past weeks because of Intence’s surge who boasts having 3 of the top 5 top trending tracks.
Be sure to listen out for Squash’s Easter release Did You Know which is also doing its rounds on the charts. The 2020 Hemton Music / 6ixReal Records production followed on from another single titled Strong Now from Sky Bad Musiq released hours earlier.
And Last but not least Chronic Law continues to churn out the hits. He features on One Law Riddim with Pree and drops fire bars on Naah Learn on Focus Riddim.
With or without the virus you have to commend dancehall deejays affinity to make music. It’s a very unique characteristic that constantly challenges the artist’s relevance. Expect to hear more from the mentioned artists along with the likes of Vybz, Popcaan, Sikka Rymes and Teejay.
