First Crespi Riddim – J Records

Chopz Amb’s “Love Fi Party, ” cut with Hiam Faith, feels like the hook that pulls First Crespi Riddim into focus right away, because J Records gives it that lean, dancehall-forward pulse and leaves enough room for the vocals to bounce cleanly over the groove. Bam Frass’ “Real Og” pushes the tougher edge of the set, while Digital Sham’s “Social Media Gallis” nods to the kind of sly, phone-era patter that was everywhere in 2017.
