Favourite Kush Riddim – Adyktve Records

By 2015, dancehall was deep in a run of compact, digitally minded one-riddim projects, and Adyktve Records’ Favourite Kush Riddim fits right into that moment with a four-song lineup plus the instrumental. Ras Penco opens with “Never Give In, ” giving the set its straightest uplift, while Richie Flo’s title cut and Cario’s “Fun Today” lean into the lighter, more playful side of the rhythm. Adyktve’s own instrumental closes things out, which feels deliberate: the producer lets the vocal versions do the talking first, then leaves the bare riddim at the end so you can hear how the whole thing is pieced together. It’s a tight sequence, and the order moves from message to hook to party before the rhythm is laid bare.
