Chicha Music ZW and Concrete Jungle Studios from South Africa bring us the first riddim out of The Women’s League series titled ‘Falling In Love Riddim’. The riddim comprises Zimbabwe and South African female artists only. The Women’s League will feature more riddims with female artists from all around the world.

Falling In Love Riddim is the 2022 Dancehall release from Chicha Music, put together with Concrete Jungle Studios in South Africa as the first chapter in The Women’s League series. The project keeps its focus tight on female voices from Zimbabwe and South Africa, with artists like Undefynd, Reign Afrika, Empress Sunshine, Jossy Daphinah, Moon Queen, Cute Kay, Tinky Barbie, Master Baron, G Hyper, Nikkie Spice, and Dimahr carrying the rhythm across its different cuts. Each song leans into a soft, romantic dancehall feel, but the release also has a clear purpose: to open a wider platform for women-led riddim projects from across the region and beyond.
